The club’s heart and soul comes from its active and committed members. Race days require a minimum four (4) volunteers to look after the tower and crew the rescue boat. A successful race days rely on our sailing members and families doing about three (3) race duties each season. Experienced members are on hand to help new volunteers. Race duties are a fun opportunity to meet other members and could improve your sailing, racing and on-water safety.
The FindMyShift roster system sends automated reminders by email and/or SMS and we recommend you configure your reminder preferences. Once you log in, click on your name in the top right corner and select 'contact preferences' from the drop down menu. From there you can select Email and Text Upcoming Shift reminders and by clicking on options you can choose how many days in advance you would like the reminder to come and what time of day you would like to receive it.
If you require assistance with the FindMyShift roster system, including forgotten username (should be your email address), contact Stewart Carter at rearcommodore@merricks.org
