Australia Day Regatta Heats 2 and 3 Resail

It was a wild ride for the elite fleet that assembled on Saturday to complete the Regatta.
Gusty Northerlies up and over 20 kts made for gutsy sailing and it was a great effort by all to finish.
The high point of the day was the interaction with one division of the Oceania ILCA fleet who mistakenly decided to round our mark....twice!
Toby in his Aero verses 20 - 25 full rig Lasers at the mark coming in the  opposite direction in 20 kts...I'm sure Toby will be waking up in cold sweats for some time to come.
 
However, to the victors go the spoils!
Heat 2 on MYC Handicap saw Mitch C 1st, Doug V 2nd and Stewart C in 3rd place.
Heat 3 saw Stewart C in 1st place, Peter B 2nd and Doug V 3rd.
And the winner of the Australia Day Regatta was......?

A big shout out and congratulations to Richard J and Leigh G for competing in
the Oceania competition at Westernport YC... Huge fleet of 110 boats registered and held in very trying conditions.....not for the faint hearted!
