• Two crews of six face each other in a 20's dragon
boat with the two middle rows vacant.
• The two competing crews will attempt to paddle
the opposing team backwards back into their den.
• The crew that successfully forces all six opposing
crew members backwards past the centre mark
and into their den, is declared the winner of the
bout.
• Each round is usually made up to three* bouts.
• The winner is best out of three.
• There is a time limit of 60** seconds for Tribe and
45** seconds for Silver Tribe for each bout. Once
the time has lapsed and no team crosses the
centre mark, the round will be stopped an
declared a draw.
• In the event of a draw, an elimination bout may be
conducted.
• Two minutes between bouts is recommended for
re-set and rest.
