This weekend traditionaly has marked the end of the competitive paddling season for Merimbula Water Dragons.
It is a fun weekend for all paddlers, we encourage partners to become involved to either help on the day or just to enjoy all that Mallacoota has to offer, then join us for dinner at the Pub. We are always after helpers on the day, driving a safety boat, helping with feeding the hungry paddlers, keeping the score and acting as referee for our On Land activities!!
Some members stay for friday and Saturday nights, some drive down on the Saturday and stay the one night, some go home. Its completly up to the individual.
As we are paddling in Victorian waters the weating of PFDs is mandatory, therefore you must be able to paddle in you costume, remember it will get wet, so don't be too precious.
This year we will be paddling from Mallacoota, around the island to Karbethong, enjoying a morning tea, then paddling further into the wilderness for some crazy games and races. We return toKarbethong for lunch, on land games and races, the tradional sweeps 360 race and finally a paddle back to Mallacoota.
We will be opening up the registration to Nature Coast and Jindabyne clubs in a few days, so if you want to secure your seat in the boat, please register NOW!!
