Tuesday Night Lightning League / Social Play
Lightning League, a competition for social players, has been developed to introduce social players to a more competitive and committed playing environment. It is a stepping stone to regular, competition Pennant.
Most Tuesdays 6pm - 9pm in Stadium 5 MSAC. Lightning League Autumn Grading 15 Apr. Competition starts Tuesday 22April.
Lightning League comprises 2 coaching/grading nights, followed by 6 nights of competition. Players are allocated to teams of 2. The teams compete with each other over five weeks with a sixth week for Finals in which all players play.
Cost for the 8 weeks Season is $60 per player. In addition, Social membership of Central Melbourne Table Tennis (MVTTA) $55 per annum is required.
Social Play, also available on Tuesday nights, is a means of attracting more people to table tennis. Players are encouraged to play amongst themselves. Coaching is available between 6pm and 7pm.
Cost is $5 per person per hour between 6pm – 9pm.
