Catch-A-Match is a social table tennis activity with casual attendance, no commitment required. Attendees are assigned opponents to compete in best-of-3 singles matches. When all allocations have been exhausted players fill the remaining time with doubles matches.
Catch-A-Match is organised by Central Melbourne Table Tennis, the social arm of Melbourne Veterans Table Tennis Association (MVTTA), and played every Monday morning 10:00 to 12 noon, according to the Calendar on the MVTTA website. The cost involves a one-off table tennis MVTTA Affiliated Membership fee and a daily Session fee.
Affiliation Membership: Social membership costs $55 per annum. This includes $5 for our Association and membership of TTVictoria and TTAustralia, a legal requirement. MVTTA Competition members are welcome to attend Catch-a-Match as are other TTV Affiliated Club/Assoc members. The latter requires a one-off $5 fee to complete MVTTA membership.
Session fee is $8 per 2-hour session. You can also buy an attendance ticket $72 for 10 sessions (ie $7.20 per session). Paying by Card is preferred over Cash payment on the day. First-time attendance "Come and Try" is free to newcomers.
