Dear all,

I am extremely disappointed to have to let you know that the Vic Open Racquetball Tournament cannot be held at Victorian Racket Club this weekend.

The Centre itself is complete apart from a few minor cosmetic touches.

Unfortunately, work on a separate contract between Knox Council, the Builder, and a Plumbing Contractor to install a fire hydrant in the vicinity of the Centre will not be completed by Friday and the Building Inspector is unable to issue a Certificate to allow the Tournament to go ahead.

James Poynton and his team are devastated, having worked very hard over recent weeks to be ready to host our Tournament to launch the new Centre. James was unaware until Tuesday afternoon that this separate contract, which the Centre is not party to, could affect issuing of the Certificate.

Lao Biesbroek, President of Mountain District Squash & Racquetball Club has negotiated with Genesis Wantirna who have agreed to host the event.
