Temporary Membership for a Day
In partnership with Australian Sailing, MCYS can now offer a Sail Pass temporary membership. Signing up for the Sail Pass is a great way for non-members to participate in some club races or other events and have personal accident insurance (for the day).
Benefits of the SailPass
- You get a daily temporary membership to crew on a club boat participating in a club event
- You have Australian Sailing Personal Accident Insurance for the day
- It allows the skippers and Crew of racing boats to comply with the “crew eligibility rule 46” in the new blue book
If you would like to race another day, you will need to re-apply again, and can do so for a maximum of 6 Sail Passes in a season.
Note: A SAILPASS allows You to access to MCYS official boating water activities, and covers you with insurance with Australian Sailing for the day of the event. It is effectively a "Try before you buy " temporary membership however you will NOT be entitled to the membership discounts or subsidised member activities.
How to register for SailPass
1. Already a SailPass member?
If you have previously registered for a SailPass or already have an Australian Sailing (AS) number, you can register below using your existing AS Number.

2. New to SailPass?
If you have never registered for a Sail Pass and don't have an AS Number click on the 'Don't have an AS Number?' link at the bottom of the page.
Want to become a Full Member of MCYS?
Download the Application Form fill it in, and send it to the club as explained on the form.
