Nav Rally 25-3 went off very enjoyably in lovely summer weather on Saturday, running course 116 again, including our first post rally raft up. Shaun & Andrea McVicar on SHIMMER posted their first win with only 93 time points lost! Alan & Isa Adams on HUGEWIND placed second with a new personal best score of 163 time points lost, helped by a new chosen speed of 17 knots, and some on board coaching & time keeping by Bill. Bill & Marilyn could not get Sea Child out of the Stacker due to their booking mistake with the stacker app. Geoff & Kathleen unfortunately withdrew at short notice due to illness and didn’t run. Luckily Bill was able to run Sea Child through the course the next day with Stu & Coben McKenzie crewing. Unfortunately we got hit with a torrential rain squall near the end of the course and had to reduce speed for safety/visibility reasons, which resulted in a bad score of 198 points lost.
