Wednesday Twilight Race & Cruise Series

For Sail and Power - Either Compete in the Twilight Yacht Race, or Cruise around the course (power or sail) observing and cheering on your friends racing. Meet afterwards for social drinks and barbeque.

We call it the Wednesday "Twilight Race and Cruise Series" (TRACS) for both power and sail.

After the race we intend to get together socially - either have a barbeque at the Martha Cove Pavilion (next to the boat ramp), or on ocassion raft up outside the entrance and enjoy some fellowship and the magnificent sunset that our part of the bay offers.

Registration is Essential but Free

REGISTER EITHER by clicking the REGISTER Button in this event , OR  email commodore@mcys.com.au  

and follow these instructions:

• Yachts racing must be entered in our SailSys race system - via link on our website MCYS SailSys Entry
  • Pursuit Start. Individual Start Times in Sailsys 
  • for race results - see  MCYS SailSys Results
• Refer to the MCYS Sailing Instructions 2022-23 and the MCYS Course Maps  (Twilight Series) on the MCYS website.
• The specific course will be selected on the day based on weather and wind direction and announced by the Race Officer by 4 PM. Sign on via VHF Channel 72.

Further details will be provided to registered participants by email and/or SMS.

Insurance & Safety Declaration Required

All vessels taking part must have submitted an Insurance and Safety Declaration to the club once for the season - click on this link to mcys website Boat Registration & Safety Declaration 22/23

Pre-Christmas – 5 races:

No 2             30th November 2022
No 3             07 December 2022
No 4             14 December 2022
No 5             21 December 2022

Post-Christmas – 5 races:

No 6             01 February 2023
No 7             15 February 2023
No 8             22 February 2023
No 9             08 March 2023
No 10           22 March 2023

If all 5 races are sailed, each series Champion will be the boat with the best 4 results – one drop!

The overall Champion will be the best performed boat over the two series.
