Combined with your school Maritime and Marine Studies Program we will be covering Start Sailing 1 & 2 as part of the curriculum for your course.
This Australian Sailing accredited course is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable introduction to Dinghy sailing.
The course includes an introduction to fundamental boat handling skills and essential safety knowledge. Our Instructors will make sure you have a great time on the water learning to sail.
Mounts Bay Sailing Club is situated in Crawley, near the University of WA, only 5 kms from the City and easily accessed from Stirling Hwy.
You will be required to sign up for an Australian Sailing number during the process. The Australian Sailing number means you are covered by insurance and is a way to keep your details and qualifications all in one place.
AUSTRALIAN SAILING NUMBER REGISTRATION
If you do not have an Australian Sailing Number once you click "REGISTER" for the course, scroll down to the link that says "SIGN UP", this will take you to a new window asking you to register a "NEW MEMBER". Begin your AS Number regstraion here and follow the prompts, once issued you will then be able to register for the course.

Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 And Start Sailing 2 completion certificate.
We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
