Australian Sailing - 5. OutThere Sailing Combined

Course information

Registrations for this course are closed.

OutThere Sailing is the ideal way for teens (12-17 years) to have fun and get active on the water whilst:

  • Having fun while experiencing sailing.
  • Socialising with friends and making new ones.
  • Learning how to sail in an inclusive environment.
  • Developing life-long friendships and learning team skills.

**Teens from Week 1 can do Week 2 to build their skills. A incentive is offered during Week 1 to bring a friend for Week 2**

The aim of the program is to have fun, spend time with friends and learn new skills. All our youth programs are delivered by qualified Australian Sailing Instructors. Mounts Bay Sailing Club will be able to expose teens to sailing in Pacer dinghies, windsurfing, SUP’s and powerboating!

The School Holiday Courses combines the following levels:

OutThere Sailing 1: is a great introduction to water based sports and their skills, but still with a focus on fun with friends. The program introduces sailing, power boating, windsurfing and stand up paddle boards, where you will new skills through exciting exercises and put them to good use in fun, on-water activities.

OutThere Sailing 2: will build on the introductory skills learnt in OutThere Sailing 1. It will have the same focus on creating new friendships whilst having fun out on the water.

The School Holiday programs allow friends to remain together regardless of what level within the program they are at. This allows friends who are at different levels to do the program together in the same boat.

Participants don't need need to have any sailing experience and they don't have to be a member of a club to participate. All the equipment, including life jackets and boats, are provided.

Mounts Bay Sailing Club is situated in Crawley, near the University of WA,  only 5 kms from the City and easily accessed from Stirling Hwy.

The course cost is $280 per sailor and includes 20 hours of tuition, full personal insurance cover issued by Australian Sailing,  daily fruit for morning tea and a sausage sizzle lunch on the final day.

During the registration process, you will be required to register for an Australian Sailing (AS) number which will redirect you to a page to do so, before proceeding to the course payment page. If you have any difficulties, please contact coaching@mbsc.com.au.
