2024 - Maroondah Cobras - Pre-Season Athlete Development Program

This program is aimed for athlete development in the pre-season to the Volleyball Victoria State League for 2025.  Maroondah Cobras returning athletes from 2024 should attend these development sessions, and new athletes are also able to attend.  There is no obligation when attending this program to try-out for or participate with the Maroondah Cobras in 2025.  The sessions will run for 7 weeks, and there is no part payments available as it is a full 7 week program.  These sessions are being managed and planned by Nick Wilcox (2024 - State League Women's 1 coach) with the assistance of Dino Asproloupos (caretaker Premier Women's Coach) and Jon Robson (2024 Premier Men 1 Captain, and caretaker Premier Men's Coach)

Sessions will be run from the 10th October to the 21st November as follows:

  • U17 Juniors - Boys and Girls - Thursday's 5:30pm to 7:00pm (all dates)
  • Womens - Premiers and State - Thursday's
    • 7:00 pm to 8:30pm (10th Oct, 24th Oct, 7th Nov, 21st Nov)

Note: The Men and Women alternate each week between the middle and late timeslots.

You should only enrol in one session, so for U17 Juniors if you are turning 17 in 2025 please enrol in the Womens or Mens program.  If you are under 17 in 2025 then you need to consider your skill and physical level, please do not enrol for the Womens or Mens sessions unless you are up to the level of playing with senior players.  If you are not sure, please register for Juniors or ask us.

For the all sessions, they will be run over a number of courts at the same time and the group will be split up into similar skill levels or similar skill groups depending on the part of the program being delivered.
