Midwest Marlins Softball Club is a club apart of the Geraldton Softball Association and was founded in 2016, a dream came to life by Team Purcell and Michelle Harris with a lot of helpers throughout the way.
In 2017 our founder Simone Purcell passed away of Ovarian Cancer, leaving behind Les and their 5 girls - Kirstyanne, Sophie, Chelsea, Taryn and Zoe (Team Purcell). This is why you will see our teal ribbons on our hats and also the reason behind the colour of our uniforms. Simone was made a life member in 2017 before her passing.
We started off with a Ladies B Grade team, Men's B Grade team and a junior team. A few years later we also formed Little Marlins Teeball Club.
We are now about to enter our 9th season and we have taken out a total of 13 premierships across A Grade, B Grade, Juniors and Teeball. Taking out the premiership in the Ladies B Grade in our inaugural year is always something we will be so proud of!
We pride ourselves on being a family orientated, tight knit club with many of our members taking on extra roles in the club and association.
