We will be accepting nominations for positions on the Mens, Womens and Juniors committee.  Please click HERE for the Nomination form, which will need to be completed and forwarded to v.ines.bell@gmail.com prior to the AGM.

The specific Committee role vacant at this year’s AGM are:

Club Secretary 

As the Club Secretary, you are a key officer of the Club and a member of the Executive Committee. If you are organised and can write accurate minutes, then you can do this role.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Organising Executive Committee and other general meetings throughout the year
• Preparing the notices for meetings and agendas with input from the Executive
• Distribute notice of Annual General Meetings (AGM) to all members. Members must have at least two weeks notice of AGMs
• Writing accurate minutes of committee meetings and Annual General Meetings, including actions and motions passed
• Distribute meeting minutes to Club members
• Distribute Annual Report including financial information with input from Mens and Womens Vice President and the Treasurer
• Maintain a register of members, life members (as required)
• Other duties as required

Social Secretary 

Manly is a social club, and we like to run a number of social events throughout the year (trivia nights, barbeques, Aus vs Rest of the World games, meet ups at the pub).  If you are enthusiastic and have good organising skills this role is for you! This role is important as it allows Club members to get to know each other better.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Organising and facilitating clubs socials (informal, formal, presentation nights)
• Organising communications to club members about each social event including webpage and social media posts
• Develop budgets for social events/fundraising activities with help from the Treasurer
• Organise fundraising events as required

Vanessa Bell is stepping down from both roles after holding them for the past 8 years. 

WE NEED YOU!  This club continues to run based on the efforts of our volunteer committee. We need more committee members to continue building Manly Hockey Club. We are always looking for more people to volunteer to assist with the many jobs that go into running a community sports club. It would be great to get a cross section of people involved so we are never geared towards one team or gender. Volunteering is a way of giving back to the sport you have enjoyed for many years. Come along to the AGM and find out more about the different committee positions.
