The Maccabi Victoria Inter Club Teams Event is designed to bring together Jewish golfers playing at various courses around Melbourne and provide them with an opportunity to meet and play with Jewish Golfers from other clubs. In addition, to qualify and represent their club against more than 10 other clubs in Melbourne.
Cranbourne Golf Club will be closing in the next few years and Jewish golfers will be spread even wider across the various clubs in Melbourne. With this in mind, it is very important to keep the Jewish golfing community spirit together and Maccabi Golf is working hard to provide this opportunity.
You are invited to participate and attempt to qualify to represent your club at the Final.
The Final will be held at Cranbourne on the 29th October 2023 with all the teams participating and representing their clubs.
The concept is simple and just requires you to play your usual golf over the six week qualifying period at your resident club - your scores will count towards overall selection for your team.
Inter Club Teams Event Details
- Initial qualifying period of 6 weeks: 21 Aug – 1 October.
- Stableford points for each round – average score determined over a minimum of 3 rounds played.
- Team will be the top 4 average scores plus 2 reserves.
- Club will have 2 teams of 4 plus two reserves if more than 20 Jewish Golfers enter from the club.
- Participating clubs include Cranbourne, Huntingdale, Southern, Yarra Yarra, Metropolitan, Spring Valley, Kingston Heath, Commonwealth, Sandhurst, Woodlands, The National, and non- affiliated golfers.
- Final: Sunday 29 October at Cranbourne.
- Cost: $20 - this will cover all costs associated with the event.
