The 9th season (in its 5th year) of Maccabi’s Social Mixed Netball wrapped up last week with the finals being played and it went down to the wire!

‘Return of the Hoops’ beat ‘Daniel Lowy’s team’ 21-19 in a thrilling final. It was a fun season with 10 teams competing and a total of 90 players, including a bunch of new players competing for the first time.

The Social Mixed Netball Comp has brought together hundreds of young Jewish adults for 5 years now, playing sport & meeting new people in a fun and social atmosphere.

We would like to thank the committee of amazing volunteers - Ella Cantori, Shayna Slotar, Liat Rubin, Beth Israelson & Michael Puterflam – who have all put in time and effort to keep the netball competition running. 

A big thanks also to all the umpires who gave their time and helped to keep the games fair and well run.
