Maccabi Social 6-a-side Football Competition Registrations NOW OPEN!

Dates: Every Thursday night starting November 5th and ending December 17 (7 weeks in total)
Location: Games are played at Easts Rugby Club Synthetic Field (Andrew Petrie Oval)
Time: Teams will play their game at either 7-7:45pm or 8-8:45pm each week. Teams can request particular time slots, but there is no guarantee their request will be fulfilled every week.
Wet Weather: As the games are played on synthetic fields, all matches will go ahead unless there are severe weather conditions.
Divisions: There will be one division of Men’s teams and one division of Mixed Teams (only if there is enough interest). Men can play in teams in both divisions and there is a discount if you do (see below).
Number of games: Every team will play 7 games.
Teams: Each team must have a minimum of 6 players registered and paid to play. For Mixed teams, a minimum of 3 girls must be on the field at all times.
Fill-ins: Players that are registered to play in the competition are allowed to fill-in for other teams.
Cost: The cost for the competition is $79 per person per division.
If you elect to play in both the Men’s and Mixed divisions then there is a discount and the total cost is $115.
The fee includes a Maccabi Membership fee that covers you for insurance purposes while playing in the competition.
Referees: Referees are paid $40/hour. They will be required to arrive at 6pm to set up the fields, referee two matches, and then pack up the fields by 9pm. This means each referee can earn $120 per night. If you are interested in being a referee, please youth.nsw@maccabi.com.au
Discipline:
The Maccabi Social Football committee has full discretion when dealing with any abuse and inappropriate behaviour towards referees, players or any personnel at the field.
The following measures will be taken during a match:
1. A caution is issued by the referee.
2. The referee removes the player from the game for a period determined by the referee.
3. If there is further abuse then the player is suspended for a period determined by the committee.

Registering a team: To register your team for the competition, please email youth.nsw@maccabi.com.au. Every player in your team will need to individually register and pay via the registration form.
Rules:
- Pitch size: Quarter of a full field
- Goal size: Futsal / Indoor Soccer sized goals
- Match length: 2 x 20 minute halves with a 5 minute break for half time.
- Players on the pitch: 6 players (including one goalkeeper)
- Substitutes: Made when the ball is out of play by first alerting the umpire
- Clothing: Teams wear the same coloured shirt. Boots and shin pads are mandatory.
- Referees: One per match.
COVID Safe Plan: A COVID Safe Plan will be shared with all participants ahead of the competition beginning.
