Logan City Speed is an Inline Speed Skating Club based at Skate Paradise Skating Rink in Hillcrest. In 2023 we celebrated our 30th anniversary and this year we were proud to have 4 of our own skaters selected to represent Australia at the World Skate Games held in Italy!
Our ultimate aim as a competitive and family-friendly sports club is to equip our skaters with the skills and know-how to become the best speed skater they can possibly be, in a fun, social, and -above all- encouraging environment.
Whether you just want to have fun, get fit or become the next national champion, Logan City Speed caters to a variety of skill levels, of all ages, to suit your needs.
We offer a range of training sessions, opportunities to compete, and social events to suit you!

About Inline Speed Skating
Inline Speed Skating is a competitive form of skating in which participants race each other in distances ranging between 100m sprints to 42km marathons! Now a Junior Olympics sport, speed skating also has its own World Cup competition and World Championships, contested by more than 50 nations.
Speed Skating promotes good health, and builds fitness and strength. Skaters learn the importance of teamwork, persistence, organisation and goal-setting, in an environment of good sportsmanship that fosters both team and individual achievement.
Logan City Speed Skating Club began in the mid 90’s and has been committed to the development of skaters in a family friendly, fun and safe environment so you can strive to do your best. Whether it is fitness, competition or simply healthy, social activity you seek – you have come to the right place.
Club Achievements
2002-2007, & 2024 LCS won the title of Overall Club Champion at the Queensland State Championships. We have had multiple medallists at the National Speed Skating Championships from 2012 through to 2024, along with special members who made the Australia Team, representing their club and country internationally at the WORLD Championships and Oceania Championships.

Club Objectives
Logan City Speed Skating Club is focused on fostering a positive and encouraging club environment which supports the development of our skaters from the grass roots all the way to elite levels of competition. To do this we continuously strive to explore ways to increase numbers, increase club member benefits, further develop the club structure, skater & coach skills, and member communications.
