SheSails Program @ LMYC
Includes LMYC Friday Lady Skippers Twilight Racing & SheSails Lake Macquarie Regatta 2025.
Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or never been on a boat, these sessions aim to introduce more women to the wonderful world of sailing in a supportive environment. It offers a great social time out on the water with an opportunity to make new friends, relax, clear your mind and learn the skills of sailing & racing keelboat yachts! Women of all ages 16 years and over are welcome.
Our SheSails Program @ LMYC includes:
Five (5) weeks of racing in our LMYC Friday Lady Skippers Twlight Racing which will have you prepared to then be able to compete confidently in the Lake Macquarie SheSails Regatta 2025. This Regatta is held over 3 days of racing, on Sunday 12th January 2025, 23rd February 2025 & 7th March 2025. You will be ambassadors representing LMYC in the Regatta against many other yachts competing from other Sailing Clubs such as Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto and Wangi Amateur Sailing Club.
Our Farr25 Platu keelboat yachts, lifejackets, safety equipment and qualified Sailing Instructors will be provided so you will be in safe hands at all times. You will sail with your Sailing Instructor and up to four other participants - so a crew of five people.
PROGRAM PRICE: $440.00 per person, which includes your membership at LMYC and your Australian Sailing Identification Number (SIN).

LMYC has a very positive culture and women being actively involved in all aspects of sailing (participating, volunteering, officiating & instructing) and is very much an integral part of our Yacht Club.
SheSails is proudly & actively supported by LMYC & Australian Sailing and aims to:
Promote and celebrate women and girls participation in the sport of sailing.
Provide new and existing female sailors with the opportunity to enjoy activities at their local sailing club with like-minded people.
Provide clubs with visual materials and case studies to help grow female participation in recreational and competitive sailing.
Develop a platform to feature female-focused events and programs across the country.
