Congratulations to Lilydale Ejays Softball Club for winning the 2021 SV Club of the Year award.

The club finished on top of the Homeplate Ladder for clubs nationally in 2020-21, achieving a 13% growth in membership.

The Ejays delivered two successful Fully Loaded T-Ball programs in addition to an effective Softball Batter Up program, resulting in a total of 42 new junior participants joining the sport.

Club President Mark Rigg said he was proud to have the club’s members and volunteers recognised for their tireless commitment.

“As a long-term President of 23 years, it’s quite nice to see the recognition of the hard work from all of our volunteers. I’ve tried really hard to make it a family orientated club and I feel like we have achieved that,” he said.

“What I’m most proud of is the hard work of our junior recruitment team.

“The team put together Softball Batter Up and Fully Loaded T-Ball programs which we’ve run for the past three years now, and we’ve really started to see the benefits of that hard work.

“I’d like to thank all of our members for being part of such a wonderful club that I’ve grown up with, and now my kids are growing up with… and I love watching it be what it is.” Rigg added.
