Good Evening all,
As you would all be aware the hockey complex suffered significant structural damage and equipment damage from a large wind event on the 19th December 2021. There has been damage to the significant structures across the whole hockey complex.
Lithgow Hockey executive and the Lithgow City Council have been working closely together through a process that will allow our complex to open.
At this stage the complex remains closed until further notice. Once assessments have been made and finalised by professionals, the executive can look at measures to ensure short term safety until all repairs are completed.
Whilst the LHA executive would like to progress forward, we place the safety of all our members at the centre of what is required during this time.
Any training session that have been booked and confirmed will be unable to be attended. We are unable to provide any turf time for any training at this point. We are in the process of speaking with our Regional Participation Co-Ordinator around HNSW COD and AAP programs.
If you do have any questions, please do not hesitate to send an email to executive.lha@gmail.com or contact our secretary Guy Mannering on 0419 471 140 in the first instance.
To all of our members, thank you for your understanding, whilst we navigate through this process.
Kind Regards
Barry Sansom
President
Lithgow Hockey Association
