Hi All

Council have advised that we can now access the turfs but in conjunction with some required safety processes. This is great news as we move towards our Winter season.

Firstly, the LHA Board would like to thank every member for their understanding during the time that the turfs were closed. The safety of our members was the priority for the LHA board and the Lithgow City Council.

The opening of the turfs is stage 1 of our return to normality for our hockey community. The clubhouse will remain closed until all repairs have been completed.

I would like to train what do I need to do.

• It has always been important that the turfs are booked and confirmed prior to using the turf.
• Please confirm availability on our website to see if times are available.
• You can book the turfs by sending an email to executive.lha@gmail.com, ideally 24hrs before you require the turf.
• Alternatively, you can contact the bookings officer on 0409 741 035
• All bookings must be confirmed prior to accessing the turf
• Participants must be registered to use turfs
• Juniors (U18) are able to access turfs for free
• Senior Members in National squads/Teams, State Squads/Teams are able to train on the turfs for free up until squad selection is over or state representation for that squad has completed

How will I access the complex whilst repairs are being made?

• You will notice that the normal side access gate is fenced off and will remain this way until all repairs are completed
• will be via small gate that is near ladies’ toilets

Turf 1  

• Via Dugouts
• Days with high wind activity will be out of service until repairs completed. This will be communicated by LHA executive when necessary
• Training after dark is not available at the moment, till repairs are completed

Turf 2

• Access through the double gates on the turf  clubhouse side of the complex only
  • Please do not access through normal dug out access
• Training after dark is not available at the moment, till light pole has been replaced
