Laser 4.7 Invitation Series – Lake Cootharaba SC

o    Do you sail a Laser 4.7 and wish you could get more practice racing against others?

o    Would you like to get race ready before attending the Laser Qld State Titles on 11-13 April at Keppel Bay?

o    Would you enjoy sailing on one of Australia’s largest salt water lakes which has a reputation as the ultimate venue for sailing regattas in SE Qld?  Warm flat water and reliable winds.

o    Do you sometimes wish you could win prize money as well as a trophy that sits gathering dust with all the others on your shelf?

If your answer to any of these questions was “Yes” then the Laser 4.7 Invitation Series being run by Lake Cootharaba SC may be what you’ve been looking for.  This is a unique “series regatta” open to all Laser 4.7 sailors which is being run over 6 weeks from 23 February to 6 April 2025.  Two races will be sailed each Sunday during this period and prizes (cash and perpetual trophies) will be awarded to both scratch and handicap winners.

Dates: Every Sunday from 23 Feb – 6 April

Racing format:

• Two races each Sunday
•   Boat starts with courses set to international standards
•   Two drops (assuming all 12 races sailed)

Perpetual trophies:

• Commodore’s Cup (1st scratch)
•  Rear-commodore’s Cup (1st handicap)
