Event information

This event has passed.

Join us on Tuesday 26 January, 2021 for Australia Day celebrations.  We will be hosting for the Sabot class the 185th Australia Day Regatta, the oldest continuously-conducted annual sailing regatta in the world.

The sabot scratch and handicap winners in 1-up and 2-up are awarded their Australia Day medals at a wonderful event at the Sydney Town Hall around March 2020.  This is attended by other sailing club's 185th Australia Day Regatta winners also.

LC12ftSSC will be running three sprint races for 1-Up and 2-Up sabots.  After lunch there will be a team novelty event.  Prizes will be awarded for best dressed sailors, most helpful and courteous sailors.  Members and friends are encouraged to join in the spirit of the day.

The day is for all sailors and aspiring sailors, including our LC12ftSSC Learn to Sail graduates and we will be recognising those that have just started sailing in the 2020-21 season.  If you do not yet own a sabot, Club boats will be available for LC12ftSSC members on the day but you will need to request a club boat as part of the registration.  Club boats will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

The day is also for family and friends - please register your interest to join in the fun.  Cost $25/head for sailors (includes race entry, morning snack, lunch & drink for the day).  Food and drinks available for family and friends to purchase.
