Learn to Race - Sunday Morning (January 30 to February 20, 2022)
Learn to Race is for sailors who attended the LC12ftSSC Start Sailing in December 2021, or January 2022.  It is an opportunity for sailors to continue to build their skills with a view to joining regular club sailing activities.

On these Sundays we will have the club open at 9:30am. Our goal is that the boats will be rigged by 10:15 when we will have a quick briefing and try to be on the water by 10:30am. The aim is generally to get more time on the water and build confidence and skills.  We will have our RIBs on the water to support sailors.

We encourage parents to assist their kids as much as possible, especially getting the boats out, rigging, unrigging and putting them away. We also encourage you to spend time on the support boats (RIBs). This is not essential but we will not have as many instructors as we did for Learn to Sail and assisting will get the kids more time on the water.  For those sailing 2-up in the sabots it is helpful if your child has a sailing partner organized but not essential, just speeds up the process of getting on the water. We will come off the water around 12:00pm with a view to being unrigged and packed away by 12:30pm.

Sunday Racing on the River
Sunday is our regular race day for sabots, some of our sailors might also want to join in the Sunday afternoon activities.  The regular Sunday routine for our sabot sailors is:

- Club open by 12pm 
- Sailors generally arrive at 12.30 pm to rig but some of the older sailors who are quick at rigging might not arrive until 1pm
- race briefing at 1.30 pm
- on the water by 1.45/1.50pm
- Race 1 sequence starts at 1.55 pm 
- 2 races.  
- generally finished racing by 3.45 / 4pm then off water and de rig. 

Those new to Lasers are welcome to join in the Sunday afternoon activities until they feel confident to sail out of the river on a Saturday afternoon with the Laser fleet.
