Student Inclusion & Diversity Grant
- Purpose: To provide clubs with the opportunity to host a student inclusion program, including hosting themed sporting rounds. The program must be targeted to a vulnerable group of students at La Trobe University, or if a themed round, have La Trobe University students involved in the preparation and execution.
- Available: Up to $1000 per club

Grant Guidelines and Eligibility
- Clubs must be an affiliated sports club to La Trobe University.
- Applications must go through the Revolutionise form provided.
- Programs or events must be targeted to one of the following student groups:
- Women and Girls
- Indigenous Students
- International Students
- Gender Diverse Students
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, and Queer/ Questioning (LGBTIQ+) Students
- Clubs can target an alternate vulnerable student demographic, upon approval from La Trobe Sport.
- Clubs may only use funding for a program that targets students.
- Exceptions may be made if the club is running a themed round (like Pride Round or NAIDOC Round). In the application, there needs to be clear evidence that the themed round involves majority students in all aspects, including the preparation and execution of the program.
- The program must have a clear and positive outcome associated to the targeted student demographic.
- Application approval does not guarantee funds. Funds are only distributed after the event/ program reporting and receipts have been submitted.
- Funding for each club a maximum of $1000. Should in the reporting phase the club spend less than $1000, or the initial nominated amount, the club will not be eligible for the $1000 or the nominated amount, only the amount spent.
- Clubs may only apply for the grant once and be accepted once. Example: if your club is approved for funding for $500, the club may not apply for an additional $500 in the secondary application period.
- Equipment can be only funded on the basis the club can prove it does not have it, and there is a direct need in having that equipment to run the event.
- Any equipment purchased remains the property of La Trobe Sport.
- Clubs will not be eligible to apply if owing money through facility or other bookings.
Types of projects funded (examples only)
- Come and try sessions with international students
- Women and girls only tournament where access in that sport may be lacking or difficult
- A modified sport that gives accommodations to a particular disabled group
- A modified version of your sport with a focus on fitness and fun
- Hosting an indigenous round
- Hosting a pride round
Program Reporting
To be eligible for the release of funding, clubs must submit a report to La Trobe Sport after the conclusion of the program. The report must include:
- Attendance list containing: Full name, student number. If the program/ event is a themed round or such activity, please include students that may have been involved in the preparation and execution of the event/ program.
- It is recommended that the club takes digital attendance through Revolutionise or Google Forms.
- Overall budget of the program
- Receipt on items the funding was spent on
- A report on -
- Outcomes of the program
- Students reached
- Impact on the student demographic
- Media from the program
