Activities available
Activity 1 - Water Safety Excursions – Facilitated by Life Saving Victoria
Excursion 1. March 20th Cosy Corner beach, Torquay (Surf Coast)
9am departure (Location of departure TBD)
11-2pm Water Safety Education
2.30pm depart Torquay to Melbourne

Excursion 2. March 23rd at Crusoe Reservoir, Kangaroo Flat (Bendigo)

Note: These excursions are suitable for individuals who can and cannot swim. All activities are based around fun and water safety. Activities that students will engage in include paddling on rescue boards, boogie boards, practising rescues of friends, engaging in activities wearing lifejackets and other sand-base beach games. Students will be required to enter the water to maximise the benefit of these education days.
Lunch will be provided. Students are required to bring their own swimwear and towels
Activity 2 - Adult Learn to Swim Lessons (programs will run pending student interest)
In addition to the water safety excursions facilitated by Life Saving Victoria, students can also participate in adult learn to swim classes for those studying in Bundoora and Bendigo.
Learn to Swim, Bundoora – facilitated by La Trobe Sport Swim School
Lesson duration: 30 minute
Duration of program: 8 weeks
Note: There is an option for female only learn to swim

Note: Students will need to arrange their own transport to the Gurri Wanyarra Centre.
Activity 3 - Experience Australian Rules Football
Support La Trobe University's AFL Partner, Carlton Football Club
Game 1, Carlton Football Club vs Gold Coast Suns
Location: Melbourne Cricket Club
