Game Plan is a free online platform that allows sporting clubs of all sizes to get insights into their current capability in key areas of club administration, then supports ongoing club development with a suite of tools.
As a La Trobe Sports Club, it is mandatory that the ASC Game Plan is utlisised as a part of ongoing yearly requirements.

Game Plan is designed to:
- Assess a club’s capability and performance at a time relevant to them
- Provide access to relevant resources to support club development
- Identify areas for improvement
- Inform the direction and priority of activities and investment to build capability
Why this is being enforced for all La Trobe Sport Clubs
- It allows La Trobe Sport to see where our clubs might be struggling and offer support
- It gives clubs direct access to resources they may need
- It allows clubs to see where they sit benchmarked against other clubs
Key Elements of the ASC Game Plan
- Club Profile - This is where the club inserts key information about the club, including contact details, the workforce (committee, volunteers), member and participant profile. Allow 30 minutes for completion.
- Priorities - This is where the club ranks its priorities (12 different priorities).
- Assessment - For each priority, the club must take an assessment. Based on this assessment, a maturity level for each club is developed.
- Plan - Based on the assessment, the club must plan using SMART goals to move their maturity rating up.
- Monitor - This is the overall summary of plans in place, who is acheiving them. This is key to bring into any catch up meetings.
- Resources - Based on your priotities and maturity levels, the ASC Game Plan may recommend resources. Additionally, a suite of resources can be readily accessible at anytime.
TIMELINE AND PROCEDURE 2024 & 2025
2024
- June 30 - All clubs to sign up to the ASC Game Plan
- June 30 - All clubs to have inserted their club priorities and finished their club profile
- December 31 - All clubs to have completed assessement for each module (15 minutes max each)
2025
- February 28 - All clubs to have completed plans for each module
- March - Initial findings meeting. La Trobe Sport and Club catch up using ASC Game Plan as foundation for discussion
- August - La Trobe Sport and Club catch up using ASC Game Plan as foundation for discussion
