This is Lara in Season 2021!
11/U - 1 team (play Tuesday's)
13/U - 2 teams (play Saturday)
15/U - 4 teams (2 play Friday nights, 2 play Saturdays)
17/U - 1 team (Saturday)
All Abilities (play Tuesdays)
Senior Teams: E, D, C, B, A.....that's about 140 women, men (All Abilities) and girls playing netball every week for at least 18 weeks.....so exciting!
We also have Term 2 of Net Set Go commencing 28th April. Thats another 30 budding netball players!
Please take the time to read the below and chat to your team manager or committee members if you have any questions.
VNA - VNA must be paid before your first game, otherwise you or your child cannot take the court. If you have paid via another association, then you must also link to Lara. Please do not leave this until the last minute to organise. Leaving it until the last minute puts undue pressure on our volunteers who have lots to do this week to make our season commencment a success. Please remember if you do it it will take about 2 minutes. If our amazing Secretary has to do 20 people, that will take her 40 mins......let's save her the time by being organised.
Club Fees
Most families will have received or will receive an invoice for Lara Club Fees in the next few days. Payment is due by Round 4, (8th May). If anyone would like a payment plan, please contact our Treasurer Kate Edwards for a confidential discussion.
Tuesday/Friday teams
Your games will always be played at Kardinia Park, however your times will change.
A full draw will be available once grading has been completed.
11/U 13th April 5.20pm Court 1
15/U 16th April Lara Green 5.20pm Court 8
15/U 16th April Lara Red 6.10pm Court 4
Saturday Teams
Your game times will always be the same:
- 13/U 8.15am,
- 15/U 9.10am and
- 17/U 10.05am, however the location will change depending on the draw.
13/U families are required to arrive @ 7.30am for set up on home games.
This week we have a home game Lara V Geelong West.
Team managers will be in contact with a roster for scoring & primary carer for all games. We also have canteen & bbq duty for home games. Please be supportive, all families are required to assist during the season.
Scott from Millar's Cafe will be at each home game for all your caffeine needs and the canteen will have lots of food to keep your tummies warm and full. Our canteen is cash only.
Although we do play on different days, now that Covid restrictions and crowd numbers have lifted, it would be great to see everyone supporting each other during the season at the different days/locations.
Finally, good luck to all our teams. Remember to listen to your coaches, try your best and most importantly have fun. We hope you have a wonderful season of netball.
Sports Trainer
We have secured the services of Kendra Thompson (final year physio student) for all our sports trainers needs. Kendra has some other commitments so will not arrive at the courts until 11am but will be available for a chat for all sports training needs after 11am. Go and say "hi" and introduce yourself.
Strapping tape will be supplied to all players (junior and seniors) on Game Days. Please use it efficiently.
