Lara Netball June Update
Winter Ball
We are all excited for the Winter Ball which is happening this weekend in Geelong. The theme is 1920s so look out for all the wonderful photos of the many Great Gatsbys heading to Capri on Saturday night! Thanks to Jesse for organising this major fundraiser for the club - we know it will be amazing.

Ladies Day
And speaking of great events, the Lara Ladies Day is coming up on July 21 - this event sold out within 18 hours of tickets going on sale. Well done to the organisers for this awesome event that we all look forward to each year. This is a really special event also as it is a Whole of community event which attracts women from all over Lara - not just the netball club. No doubt there will be many smiles and lots of laughter once again.
On court
On court the girls are doing really well in both junior and senior ranks. It is a huge task to manage the players based on performance, injury and availability but our Head Coach, Jo Chambers does a magnificent job. As a club we encourage all players to work as hard as they can to play at their highest level. We commend all of the players who are attending training every week including the extra fitness sessions and doing all their own work at home and away form the club - your efforts are being rewarded on court.

Lara Recreation Reserve Masterplan
Dont forget to "have your say" about the exciting new Lara Recreation reserve masterplan which involves the construction of new netball courts! We need you to engage with the City of Greater Geelong. Let them know we support the new plan with a couple of amendments which can be explained here - please let them know how much we need new courts closer to the recreation facilities.
