Table Tennis has a long and decorated history in Kyabram.
From when the first ball was struck in 1953, the sport ran continuously until 1996, catering to hundreds of local players.
Two men stand out among the names: Len Stone and Ian Foster.
The men between them held the Victoria Country Men's Singles Champions crown from 1954 to 1961.
Len was champion in 1954, 1955, 1956, 1959, 1961, while Ian's crowns came in 1957, 1958, 1960.
Both men were unducted into the Hall of Fame - Country Division in 2016.
Kyabram Youth Club is reigniting the table tennis flame.
We welcome all people no matter their age, ability, ethnicity or background in playing table tennis in Kyabram.
Our play is on Thursday nights, with juniors (4-16 years) at 6pm and adults at 7pm. Of course, juniors are welcome to join both sessions.😊
