A workshop to learn about the fundamentals of how to run a protest hearing.it serves to address
1. The need to improve general rules knowledge and understanding - valuable for sailors, race committees and potential protest committee members.
2. The need to extend the pool of people interested in, and capable of, serving on protest committees.
with that in mind the weekend is split into two parts:
Saturday - a refresher on the Racing Rules of Sailing, and an update highlighting the important changes introduced with effect from 1 Jan 2025.
Who should attend?
A. Active racing sailors,
B. National & Regional Judges,
C. Race Officers & their assistants, and
D. All who might be called upon to serve on protest committees from time to time.
Sunday - a protest committee clinic. Practical guidelines and tips on how to serve confidently and competently on a protest committee.
