Statement of Commitment to Child Safety
Kingston Calisthenics College is committed to child safety. Our Club wants children to be safe, happy and empowered, therefore:
- We support and respect all children and we are committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of children.
- We have a zero tolerance for child abuse. We have systems in place to protect children from abuse, all allegation and safety concerns will be treated very seriously in line with our Policies, Procedures and Codes of Conduct.
- We are committed to the cultural safety of children from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse background, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.
Child Safety Officers
Each Section’s Team Manager has been appointed as a Kingston Calisthenics College - Child Safety Officer. Both students and/or parents are welcome to contact their Child Safety Officer at any time, if they have any concerns.
Working with a Check (WWC)
Kingston Calisthenics requires the following members of the club over the age of 18 to hold a valid WWC:
- Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Cadets and Assistants (over the age of 18).
- Team ManagersCostume Managers
- All members of the Kingston Calisthenics Committee
Kingston Calisthenics Club strongly recommends that parents apply for and obtain a WWC. Any parent who is required to enter a dressing room or be backstage at a competition or stage rehearsal may be required to hold a valid WWC.
Kingston Calisthenics College have taken this view in order to maximise the protection of children involved.
Privacy Act
Calisthenics Victoria and Kingston collect participant’s personal and medical details for registration and administrative purposes. All information collected is protected under the Privacy Act.
Participants over 18 years, or the parent/guardian of those under 18 years of age, are required to read and sign the Australian Calisthenics Federation (ACF) privacy statement as part of their registration.
