On Saturday the 25th of March 2023 t 9.30am, the Kingfisher Dragon Boat Club of Paynesville will be performing a ceremony of naming our new boat - Courage.

This includes a ceremony called the Awakening of the Dragon, and gives her sight, taste & power. This is an important ritual that pays respect to Chinese traditions.

Performing the ceremony will be Mayor of East Gippsland Shire - Mark Reeves, with the help of club President Zonda Lynn.

We hope everyone can come down to the beach on the esplanade at Paynesville, at 9:30AM to see to see our new boat be Awakened!
