Bridgewater PCYC Judo has been running intermittently since the early 1980s and  has a good history of excellent coaches and successful competition Judoka over the years and is now operating under the coaching guidance of:

Wendy Masters Ni Dan, accredited state coach level, ph: 0412 926 004
Theresa Smith Sho Dan, accredited state coach level
Tim Masters Brown Belt, accredited club level

All club coaches have competed either at state or National level or both and are actively involved on all aspects of Judo. We run classes Mondays and Thursdays and ages range from four years to adult.

Training
MONDAY
Beginners:  4.30pm to 5.30pm
Intermediates: 5.45pm to 7.00pm

THURSDAY
Senior and advanced Judoka classes, allowances are made for adult beginners to join in.
6.30pm to 7.30pm

Clarence PCYC judo club was founded by Stan Holloway and is now run under the instruction of Eric Amani (Ni Dan). The club is located in the Stan Holloway Hall, 10 Scott Street, Bellerive.

The classes are friendly to all ages and levels.

We run classes on Monday and Wednesday nights from 4pm to 6pm

People practice judo for many different reasons such as exercise, self-defence, a social activity, and for many practitioners becomes a way of life. Judo is a great exercise routine, it promotes flexibility, develops speed and co-ordination and is perfect for both active boys and girls and people of all ages.

Hobart PCYC Judo Club takes students aged from 7 years and up, and is suited for those at a beginner level, right through to advanced students. It is the perfect learning environment for all ages interested in Judo, and due to its wonderful relationship with the Hobart PCYC, is able to make full use of the facilities - including the well-appointed gym and weights room.

Sorell Martial Arts Academy, SMAA was founded in 2016 by lifelong martial artist and pioneer Adam Newton. SMAA seeks to serve the Sorell community by providing a positive environment for kids and adults to train and develop as people.

Training in Martial Arts is challenging and rewarding with every session working a sweat. Students will develop great problem-solving skills as well as the kind of maturity that comes from working through difficulty. This is achieved in a team environment under the watchful eyes of on of the most expereinced martial arts coaches and competitors in the country.

The University of Tasmania Judo - Launceston Club aims to teach and educate people of all ages about Judo. We offer classes for children and adults. The club specialised in the training and coaching of boh Mainstreat Judo and adaptive No Limits Judo for people living with disability or additional needs.

We offer classes for juniors, teens and adults in both mainstream and No Limits Judo, as well as private classes, competition classes, school programmes, female only classes and specialised programmes adapted for individual or organisational needs.

Seishin Martial Arts provides a community focused and inclusive training environment that promotes equality, embraces diversity and empowers people to reach their full potential.

Head coach Lewis has over 28 years of judo experience, is a second dan black belt in Judo and a disability support worker. Lewis is a multiple time state champion and national bronze medallist.

Coach Carla is a judo brown belt, Brazilian jiujitsu blue belt and social worker. Carla is a multiple time state champion in judo and Brazilian jiujitsu as well as Pan Pacific silver and bronze medallist in Brazilian juijitsu.

NO LIMITS JUDO - Adapted Judo for disability and additional needs.

The 12-Week No Limits Beginners Programme is the entry point for all No Limits Judoka - please send enquiries to seishintas@gmail.com to find out when the next Beginners Programme will be starting.
