September 2024 | JudoSA events | no cost for participants and spectators

Published Fri 06 Sep 2024

Dear Members

Pencil in 29 September 2024 for the Cadets & Seniors Points Competition and Novice InterClub Judo.

These JSA and JA member only events are put on to allow member participants at all levels the opportunity to develop and advance in their judo through structured and friendly competition, as supported by their coaches and clubs.

We have supported participation and development through offering grants to our players, facilitation of coaching accreditation at no cost, bringing Judo Australia into each of our member clubs at no cost to our clubs. We have assisted clubs with continuing signage grants, took the State Titles to regional SA and offered a training camp in Port Augusta run by our State coaches at no cost to participants, where we have invested significantly in allowances to bring on the best State Coaches and management we could for our State Team, to support those that have Olympic aspirations.

We stand by our volunteers and have done more to value them and put more into the way our events will look and feel moving forward, and to ensure that the AIO remains an event that attracts officials and participants we want by valuing what they have to offer through the support we provide.

Not only does your membership in JudoSA make the above happen it give’s you peace of mind with the insurance offered by Judo Australia and allows you to participate in all Judo Australia run events and the events run by our interstate counter parts.

While Judo Australia needed to raise it’s share of your registration, we have decided not to recognising the current cost of living pressures and instead found savings through reform to offset inflation costs.  As a part of this we removed spectator entrance fees as another small measure to save on the family budget, but to also encourage people to come along and watch our great sport and support their athletes.

Now, to provide more to our members, we will put on these two events on the 29th at no cost.

We now hope that sets the scene for all our member clubs to get involved in the competitions and make it as vibrant as possible, especially on the Novice side.

On the points side, we are making it attractive for black belts to get involved by offering participation prizes, but more on that to come.

Also, as members, you can participated in the NATIONAL CLUB TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS - Bendigo 18th-20th Oct, where your club is organising to be involved. More on this can be found here
