Dear Life Members, Member Clubs and Members

2024 is racing along with the competition season almost drawing to an end with last set of local events to occur this Sunday at the Lights

Novice InterClub Judo and Cadets and Seniors Points Competition

This is the last Judo SA event for the year, for members only and at no cost to enter, so please come along to support the event and create another vibrant day of judo.

Details and Registration on Smoothcomp HERE.

This is a great opportunity for Clubs to introduce their novice athletes to the competition side of Judo.

  • Black Belts are always a hot commodity for the points competition, and this time each genuine JA graded black belt that competes on the day will go into the draw for several wine basket prizes on offer.

The AIO

On the 24 August 2024 The Lights came to life with the 2024 Adelaide International Open.

Details of our members that medalled can be found HERE  along with other standing information.

It was a pleasure to see our Life Member (and also Judo Australia Life Member ) Daryl Payne in the audience with his partner, and life member Trevor Kschammer (and also Judo Australia life member) handing out medals to the next generation of champions.

One of our favourite pictures from the day was of Trevor and Luis Val (Judo Australia Life Member). Check out the picture HERE

A small post-AIO JudoSA promo video can be found HERE

New Member Club

For those that did not pick up on our socials we had the pleasure to announce a new member club, Raptor MMA Combat Academy,  to the fold.  Check out the post HERE.

Kazoku Judokan makes their local news

Member Hannah Bradbury has recently competed overseas and continues to medal domestically, earning the AUS patch. A fantastic athlete.  Read the article about her achievements and that of the Kazoku Judokan HERE.

Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport 2024 Program

Member Rubi Cury (from Flinders University Judo Club) was successful in her endeavours and leadership aspirations by being accepted onto the prestigious Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport 2024 Program. An impressive achievement by a person with an impressive Resume. In light of her skill set, judo background and to support her continuing development, we invited Rubi onto the Board as an Appointed Director, which she has accepted.

Until the next edition.
