Dear Life Members, Member Clubs and Members

It is a warm night and we hope you are all looking after yourself.

As outlined in our restructure update we have merged our operational support with Judo Australia, looking to deliver higher level support for the functions of Judo SA.

Operations Assistant

We are fortunate now to have Mim Smith onboard and we a sure you will all make her feel welcome.

Mim is a Judo mum and is no stranger to Judo with experience in both NSW and ACT, who comes with undergraduate and post graduate qualifications and is currently undertaking her PhD. She is experienced in communications, project management, policy, stakeholder engagement, admin& finance and the associate systems and software.

We strongly recommend that each of our member club administrators reach out to her on info@judosa.com.au and introduce yourself.

Updates

• Clubs, the Office of Sport and Recreation have indicated they will be contacting sporting clubs to undertake a survey called the “Club Culture Assessment Tool”.

• We hope to be making announcements on State Team coaches and Manager soon.

Events

• The first Internation Open off the rank is Canberra [16-18 Feb 2024] and we wish our Judoka that are participating in this event the best of luck: https://www.revolutionise.com.au/judosa/events/218045
• On the local front our first event(s) is the double header “The Cadets and Seniors Point Competition and Novice InterClub Judo” on 24 February 2024 at the Lights and Community Sports Centre.
