2020 NSW Referee AGM & Referee Seminar

Referee AGM

The NSW Referee Annual General Meeting is open to any registered financial Judo NSW member.

Only current active or semi-active graded referees members, 18 years old and above, present at the referee’s Annual General Meeting are eligible to vote for the NSW Referee Commission.

Proxies are not acceptable to vote for election of Commission Members.

The order of Business at the Annual General Meeting of the NSW Referee Commission shall be as follows:

  1. Apologies/attendance.
  2. Minutes from previous Annual General Meeting.
  3. Business arising.
  4. Correspondence.
  5. Reports: Chairperson, Treasurer and others.
  6. General Business
  7. Elections

 

Nominations are being called for the NSW Referee Commission.

Three positions will be put up for election - Deepali Misty, Behzad Fakholdrin and Chack Chan 

Two current positions (David Fuentes and Lubo Petr) remain for another year as they are up for elections next year.  All positions are for two years.

Nominations will need to be moved and seconded by an Active NSW Referee and current (2020-2021) Judo NSW member.

Nominations need to be sent to the Chairperson of the NSW Referee Commission no later than Monday 20 July,2020 - Click here to nominate.

The only requirement for election is that you must hold a minimum active NSW “A” class license to hold a position on the NSW Referee Commission.

Any Referee not present, who wishes to be considered for a position, must have their nomination in by the Monday 20 July,2020.

After the referee Annual general Meeting adjourns, the newly elected commission will meet to elect a Chairperson and other positions on the commission. 

9.30am   -   11.30am   AGM

11.30am  -   12.00pm   Newly elected commission members meeting.

Lunch (12-1PM) will be at a local Restaurant, the Referee Commission will contribute $10 towards lunch for those who attend the AGM and continue to the seminar.

 

Referee Seminar

You are invited to attend the following Referee Rules Seminar.

1.00pm - 1.30pm Referee development path in NSW

1:30pm - 2.00pm Junior Judo Safety (issues arising from 2020 Nationals and discussion) 

2.00pm - 3.00pm General Rules - Video review (2020 IJF Seminar)

 

It is aimed at referees and coaches, athletes and officials who wish to gain in-depth knowledge of the rules and evaluation of complex situations are also welcome.
