2020 STATE KATA TITLES

Time:

12:00pm, sign-ins (online pre-registration required)

2:00pm, start Kata championships

Dojo will be open from 10am for BBR Kata classes and warm-ups

Venue:

Judo NSW Dojo in the Newington Armoury

Entry:

Entries Close midnight Wed 1 April 2020

No Late Entry on the day

$50/person for single Kata entry and $25/person for additional Kata entries 

Note – The Extra Kata Entry Fee ($25p/person) applies if you also enter and compete in the Judo NSW State Titles Shiai on 5 April 2020.

Prize:

Championship pair’s names engraved on the NSW Kata Katana

 

The Kata championship and team selection is open to all Judo NSW Members.  The Kata to be judged are as follows:

 

 

• • Nage no Kata
  • Junior Nage no Kata (Cadets and younger)
  • Katame no Kata
  • Kime no Kata
  • Kodokan Goshin Jutsu
  • Ju no Kata

 

 

All Judo NSW participants who score at least 60% or better in their Kata demonstration are eligible to join the NSW State Kata team to go for GOLD at the 2020 Australian Judo National Championships in June.  There is also a mandatory Kata training camp on 1-3 May to officially kick-off the campaign towards the Nationals.
