2022 Judo Coach Accreditation Course

Assistant (Level 1) and Judo Coach (Level 2)

Ever thought about taking your Judo to the next level, or are you a current coach in need of renewing your accreditation? Begin a coaching journey by joining us for Stage 1 of the Level 1 and 2 Coaching Accreditation.

Stage 1 - Zoom - Coaching Principles and Theory

Sunday 20th March, 2022 10am - 12pm

Stage 2 - Practical

This course is designed for new and existing Coaches, (including NCAS Coaches) to gain or update their accreditation.

The course will include the following two (2) levels:

  1. Assistant Coach  - Coaches children and beginners under the guidance of a Club Coach (Min Age 16 yrs & recommended grade Senior Blue Belt)
  2. Coach Judo  - Coaches and conducts Judo sessions at club level across a range of athlete abilities (Min Age 18 yrs & Min Grade - recommended Senior Brown Belt)

Applicants will, and need to complete the following theory components (Stage 1) prior to attending the practical course :

Assistant Coach

Coach Judo

Senior Coach

All coaches also need to provide prior to the practical course the following:

  1. Copy of current WWCC clearance letter and/or details.
  2. Copy of current First Aid Certificate
  3. Completed coaches log book and/or details of current actual coaching hours.
  4. Lesson plan for a 10 minute warm-up and cool-down (to be handed in)
  5. Lesson plan to teach a tachiwaza and newaza skill (to be handed in)
