Please enter early as there may be Covid-19 related restrictions and process changes that we may need to apply based on entry numbers and/or changed NSW Health advice.
There will not be a BATSUGUN at this Dan Grading due to recent Covid-19 restrictions and reduced athlete preparation time.
We will advise any participation and spectator number restrictions that apply to the event on a best efforts basis.
DAN (BLACK BELT) GRADING EXAMINATION (Sun 28 NOV)
The Dan Grading will consist of the following components:
- Opening and bow-in (Rei) - 9:30AM
- Kata examination - from 9:30AM
- Technical (Waza) examination - will commence following the Kata
IK-KYU (SENIOR BROWN) GRADING
Judo NSW also provides the opportunity for members to grade to Senior Brown Belt at the Dan Grading.
Designed for candidates belonging to Clubs that are not currently able to grade to the Senior Brown Belt within their Club.
All candidates must be eligible as per the requirements of the JA Grading Policy (2017) and must provide prior approval from their relevant Club Coach.
GRADING APPLICATIONS
All Grading applications must be fully completed and submitted with digital passport style image to the Judo NSW office (high quality scanned documents emailed to office@judonsw.com.au) by the following dates:
Senior Brown to 3 Dan - Friday 5 November 2021
4 Dan & 5 Dan - Friday 22 October 2021
The following must be included in the Application:
- List of contest and service points claimed (must be detailed – tournament, opponent’s name and grade, details and dates of refereeing, coaching or administrative positions held)
- A completed Judo biography including grading history.
- The Application form signed by both the candidate and relevant club coach.
