Come & Try BMX Racing at Jingili BMX Club
Details
Course information
Thank you for participating in Jingili BMX Club's come and try morning.
Before signing up for a "four-week membership," we recommend that you contact the club first. Four-week memberships will start on the day you sign up, so you may not get the best value if we are closed for school holidays or other events. All of our events are run by volunteers, and we cannot proceed without them. Except for racing, we don't advertise training sessions for the full season in advance.
We have a limited number of bikes available for loan. These are generally only available on race nights and during Sunday morning gates practice, which is run approximately once a month. For some sizes, we only have one or two bikes available. We encourage new members to buy their child a bike and a full-face helmet as soon as they can.
Before buying a race bike, we recommend chatting with one of our coaches (Tom, Jason, Zephyr, or Max) or messaging the club about correct sizing. Race bikes are measured with the rider standing up, not sitting down like you would with a mountain bike. All sizes have a 20" wheel with the top tube increasing in length; using sizes such as micro, mini, junior, expert, expert xl, pro and pro xl-xxxl.
Second-hand equipment is sold locally on NT BMX Buy Sell & Swap Facebook page.
