If you have ideas on how we (IHA) can better promote playing hockey in Ipswich and how to recruit more players, the RAP Team needs you! We are looking for members of the committee as possible as many hands make light work. Zoom meetings are available for those who can not physically attend an in-person meetings. The frequency and duration of the meetings will be determined by the RAPT Coordinator.  

Here are some examples of what the RAP Committee does/can do. This is not an exhaustive list.

Recruitment – Work with the RCD on recruiting new players to our game. Some examples of possibilities

• Attended local markets, fates and Open Days promoting IHA with a stall
• Advertisements into school newsletter, various social media sites that promote “things on”
• Contact local Radio stations for promotion of our Open Day, the Start of our Season and Grand Finals.

Advancement – How do we make hockey better? Idea examples

• Arrange for the winning teams from IHA Grand Finals to play the winning teams from another association in a carnival day
• Arrange development clinics to come to IHA in conjunction with the RCD
• Promote our IHA rep teams

Promotion of Hockey

• Open day revamp
  • Change day and time?
  • Have an exhibition match?
  • Open the bar for sales?
  • BBQ on sale?
  • Prizes and raffles?
• Organise the end of year junior carnival day.
• Co-ordinate the Hook in2 Hockey BBQ and coffee van
