SA 420 Winter Training Program

The SA 420 Association in collaboration with Australian Sailing has proposed a winter training program. The program will consist of sessions which will be delivered from June until September. Coaching Will be provided by Brady Lowe (State Performance Pathways Advisor), Nicholas Neale (Club Coaching Development Officer) and Club 420 Coaches; Alex Higgins, Luke Stephens and Joel Mackenzie.

We have recently been able to include another two days to this program at no additional cost (highlighted below). The two days is for both performance and development squads and has been programmed in on the 7th and 8th of July, during School holidays at B&SYC.

Sessions are locked in with clubs, coaches and the organising committee. Sessions will start at 10am with a briefing held with coaches and sailors and sailors will be dismissed no later than 4:30pm. Any changes too these dates or times due to weather or other circumstances will be notified prior to the day.

  • Saturday 5 June - Adelaide Sailing Club (ASC)
  • Sunday 6 June – ASC
  • Wednesday 7 July – BSYC
  • Thursday 8 July - BSYC
  • Saturday 17 July - Largs Bay Sailing Club (LBSC)
  • Saturday 21 August - LBSC
  • Saturday 4 September - Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club (BSYC)
  • Sunday 5 September - BSYC

Development Training:

  • Sunday 6 June - ASC
  • Saturday 12 June - Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club (GRYC - Frostbite Regatta)
  • Sunday 13 June - GRYC (Frostbite Regatta)
  • Wednesday 7 July – BSYC
  • Thursday 8 July - BSYC
  • Saturday 17 July - Largs Bay Sailing Club (LBSC - Winter Series)
  • Saturday 21 August - LBSC (Winter Series)
  • Sunday 5 September - BSYC 

You can only participate in this and future events if you have registered. Registration is open until midday on Tuesday the 6th of July.
