Today (27/08/2020), We received the below advice from Keppel Bay Sailing Club;

"Due to COVID-19 restrictions all registrations must be entered and paid online by Friday the 4th of September. This reduces mingling within the club on Saturday morning and allows us to meet social distancing requirements."

Keppel Bay Sailing Club are by law required to ensure that COVID-19 safety practices are in place throughout the regatta.

This means that if you do not enter online by the 4th of September you won't be able to enter and race in our upcoming state championships.

Entering online is easy, go to the Keppel Bay Sailing Club website and all you will need to do is provide,  your details, including insurance policy and pay by credit card when registering.

If entering online is problematic for you,please send me an email, however I cannot stress enough, if you don't enter online prior to the 4th of September you won't be able to participate,  beach entries will not be accepted.

Update 1.

From what we are seeing now and the loosening of restrictions, the State Championships are planned to proceed on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of September 2020.

Obviously we will be guided on state government restrictions, and these restrictions seem to be loosening all the time, however,it cannot be discounted that there may be a second wave of COVID-19 and restrictions will once again be enforced.

After consultation with QIA members and the QIA executive we have decided to hold the 2020 Queensland Impulse State Championships at Keppel Bay Sailing Club,Yeppoon, on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of September 2020.

Keppel Bay offers superb sailing conditions, backed by a great licenced sailing club, and the town of Yeppoon offers a range of accommodation options.
