How can a write-up possibly do this event justice?? With such a rich history, tradition even, etched into Qld Contender folklore. Memories rekindled in reverent tones, young’uns breathlessly hanging on every re-telling of the battles and crashes from previous years going back to the days of toe straps and tin sticks. Each year in the first weekend of December at Lake Cootharaba, nestled in the National Park hinterland of Noosa Heads, the Monomasters regatta delivers awesomeness each and every year. Simple as that.
