SheSails 'Steering the Course' Conference 2023
Australian Sailing is excited to announce the date for the 3rd SheSails National Conference event for 2023, which once more will coincide with World Sailing’s global women’s sailing festival, Steering the Course 2023.
The 2023 SheSails National Conference is set to be delivered via webinar at 6pm (AEDT) Tuesday 3rd October, and will focus on pathway opportunities for women in the sport of sailing and aim to inspire those interested in beginning or furthering their career in sailing.
Australian Sailing is thrilled to be partnering with Yacthing New Zealand again and we are delighted to announce that guest speakers Kelly Hartzell and Tanya Peart leading engineers from Emirates TeamNew Zealand- Americas Cup are confirmed in the line up.
Last year’s SheSails National Conference was a great success, with over 300 participants dialing in from sailing clubs across Australia and New Zealand. We wish to see even more people dialing in this year.
Australian Sailing are delighted to confirm the below special guest speakers that will provide insights into the many different pathway opportunities sailing has to offer on and off the water.
- Olivia Price the youngest Olympic medalist in 2012, current Olympic Squad member for 49FX for Paris 2024, and TV commentator will talk about her many pathways in sailing and what has led her to become the co skipper of the first women's Australian Team for the inaugural Women's America Cup in 2024.
- Carolijn Brouwer four time world champion, Olympian, ISAF World Sailor of the Year turned AST ILCA 6 Coach will talk about her sailing journey and her life now as a coach.
- Kelly Hartzell and Tanya Peart - will talk about their journey and how they ended up becoming leading engineers for Emirates Team New Zealand.
