In October 2016, Hills Heat Softball was established by the Hills Softball Association, to create further playing opportunities for local Hills based players, enabling them to play at an elite level in the Adelaide Premier League Softball Competition. Starting out with just a stand-alone B grade team in 2016, the upcoming softball season will see Hills Heat field teams in 5 grades - A Grade, B Grade who are current reigning back to back premiers, C Grade, Under 18 and Under 16.

Hills Heat Softball have the continued support of the Hills Softball Association which is the fastest growing country softball league in South Australia, comprising of almost 50 teams from the Adelaide Hills and beyond.

The Hills Heat home base is Anembo Park in Littlehampton, which has recently undergone major improvements including international level lighting, new clubrooms, dugouts, improved spectator areas, enclosed diamond with a home run fence, all of which are used by around 500 local members each week.

Hills Heat Softball aims to provide an inclusive environment for both junior and senior players both on and off the diamond.
